Donovan Johnson is a photographer, videographer and creative director based in Phoenix. He studied photojournalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, and his work moves between documentary, editorial and brand storytelling.

He co-founded om*, a creative production company that builds community through art. Its work includes the Com*MUNITY SERVICE event series, short films and visual identities for artists and brands. He also co-mentors the Gallery Activators youth fellowship at the ASU Art Museum.

By day, he’s a communications specialist at ASU’s Rob Walton School of Conservation Futures. There he shoots, designs and writes the campaigns that introduce the school to its first students.

His work starts with people and place, and the art leads.
